03/12/26 - Dr. Zeytinoglu hosted Dr. Gustavo Carlo, who is a Professor at UC Irvine, at Tulane. Dr. Carlo gave a talk titled, “Nurturing Prosocial Behaviors in U.S. Latine Youth as a Mechanism to Reduce Social Inequities.
It was the New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane! Exciting times to meet your favorite authors and discover new ones. Check out the schedule!
03/07/26 - Dr. Zeytinoglu attended Tulane Brain Institute’s Neuroscience Retreat and served as a judge on the research presentations! All speakers and presenters did an amazing job! 👏

02/20/26 - Dr. Zeytinoglu hosted Dr. Paul Frick, who is an Endowed Professor at Louisiana State University-Baton Rouse. Dr. Frick gave a talk in the Psychology Colloquium focusing on the developmental pathways linking callous unemotional traits with conduct disorders.

11/20/25 - Saksham Kapoor, who is a junior undergraduate, presented his poster “Bidirectional Affective Synchrony in Parent-Child Conversations Using Machine Learning” at the biennial meeting of the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology (ISDP). Congrats, Saksham! 👏
11/09/25 - Dr. Zeytinoglu gave two talks at the Occasional Temperament Conference at Texas A&M University! She loved connecting with her friends, colleagues, and students, and hearing about their new work! Thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Liew and the rest of the organizing committee for bringing us all together.

Dr. Zeytinoglu’s recent paper, published in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, was covered in the general-audience article “Social Fears in Children: The Roles of Parental Communication and Child Temperament.” Read more here.

Dr. Zeytinoglu joined Tulane University’s Department of Psychology and became an affiliate of Tulane’s Brain Institute. She also visited the Sculpture Garden in New Orleans and loved it!
